DEMO DAYS WEEKEND
Well, what a weekend with over 25 people turning up for Light Flights very first Demo days.
Friday was a slow start as the Kal boys has just driven 4 1/2 hours so we took it easy, getting everything set up.
Steve turned up and was keen as normal to get out to the paddock and get flying, as Shaun took Andrew for a fly in the trike we where in getting ready for towing before changing strips.
With the wind picking up Steve, Caniy and Muz where flying whilst Andrew and Duncan watched on.
Sharon and Myself where busy in the kitchen making the most colour full cake I have ever seen (in Sharons words it looks like a bunch of 8 years old made it) for Fanny's 21st Birthday.
With the winds dropping off Andrew and Duncan did some trailer work before packing up for the day.
Saturday was an early start Shaun waking everyone up at 6.45am, all out to the paddock where Andrew, Duncan and Wallace did there bunny hoops, and not a single make on any of the gilders.
For Andrew the learning experience is easy as he is already a qualified paraglider pilot, but has come over to light side as we say, "I’m sick of being scared every time I fly".
I had never seen so may people out in Wylie before even at the State Soaring Championships in 06, we had two tow strips going and a third was needed.
Everyone got a fly well nearly everyone.
As it was Fanny's last weekend in Australia (Fanny was a bar maid in Wylie when the 2006 State soaring Championship where on and fell for Jason Kath.)
We thought it would be a good idea to thought a party as well as it being the Demo Days weekend, so which the BBQ going everyone was having fun.
Fanny loved here birthday cake well everyone did, even thought when cooking it I thought "oh no" . Then it was off to the pub, where we tried pool dancing but fallen due to the amount of alcohol drunk.
Back at the Barracks the party was still going, most of the local's in Wylie joined in which was good to see at about 3.30am the party finished.
Sunday was well let just say no one had the energy to do anything, it was to windy to fly, and after a big night I think everyone just wanted to relax.
Light Flight would like to say a big Thanks to everyone, for your help and support.
